INFRASTRUCTURE
Our smart classrooms provide the students fantastic platform for their future. The classroom infrastructure is lively and refreshing. They are well equipped as well as technically advanced. Our students receive excellent education, including frequent tutorials and practical. Our students are taught by highly qualified and well-experienced professionals in their field. Presentation aids like overheads projector, multimedia projectors, computers, charts, handouts etc are frequently used in the classrooms for the better understanding of students. The student-teacher interaction keeps the classrooms active and alert. Our value added education system moulds technically strong and socially valuable individuals.
The School of Engineering strives to impart strong practical exposure to its students. Modern laboratories and workshops are essential parts of various departments of the school. We have more than thirty five laboratories including drawing halls and workshops. They are equipped with experimental set up to reinforce classroom learning. These experimental lists are regularly upgraded with the students’ experiment design.
Central Library is an esteemed place in School of Engineering and an essential component of the institute’s outstanding education mission. It provides a comfortable and friendly environment that enables learning as an advancement of knowledge and promotes scholarship. Central Library augments creation of knowledge through acquisition, organization and dissemination of learning resource. It is stocked with over 50,000 volumes of books with more than 5000 titles covering branches of engineering, science and humanities. The library subscribes around 170 national and international journals. The library also houses eBooks and facilitates e-learning.
School of engineering has fully air conditioned seminar hall with the facility of multimedia projector, speakers, microphones and Wi-Fi. The hall can accommodate more than 280 people. It is also used as audio visual studio for video conferencing as remote centre facilitating staff trainings.
School campus is spread over an expanse of 35 acres and is well facilitated with boy’s hostel, girl’s hostel, staff quarters and cafeteria. It provides campus residence facility to 800 plus boys, 350 plus girls and 100 plus staff with all essential facilities such as laundry, canteen, dispensary, play grounds and gymnasium. Around 35 plus buses are used to provide campus connectivity with Rajkot and other city centers.
