Bachelor of Technology Cyber Security

The Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech.) in Cyber Security program was introduced in 2026 under the Computer Engineering Department, one of the oldest departments, established in 2006. The department also offers a Ph.D. program in Computer Engineering, fostering a strong academic and research environment

The four-year (eight-semester), full-time undergraduate program is designed to equip students with the knowledge and practical skills required to protect digital systems, networks, applications, and data against evolving cyber threats. The curriculum covers essential areas such as network security, ethical hacking, cryptography, digital forensics, cyber threat intelligence, incident response, and information security management.

The program emphasizes a balanced approach to theoretical learning and practical implementation through laboratory sessions, projects, seminars, technical workshops, and industry-oriented training. Students develop analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and expertise in identifying vulnerabilities, preventing cyberattacks, and implementing effective security solutions

The program is supported by modern computing infrastructure and cybersecurity laboratories equipped for hands-on experimentation and practical learning. Qualified and experienced faculty members contribute to a stimulating academic environment through teaching, research, and professional development activities.

To enhance industry exposure, the program encourages industry interactions, expert lectures, internships, professional certifications, and practical projects. Engagement with leading technology organizations, including IBM, Cisco, Infosys, Oracle, NVIDIA, and Microsoft, can help students understand emerging technologies and industry practices. The program prepares graduates for careers in cybersecurity, ethical hacking, penetration testing, security operations, digital forensics, and information security, as well as advanced studies and research.
